Putting TAS Dispatch Sets Into Rotation

This article assumes that TAS Clients with multiple dispatch rule sets have been created.

The SC TAS module is able to handle multiple dispatch rule sets. This will put selected rule sets into a rotation and keep track of how many times each was used.

What’s the difference between a rotating set and a looping set?
In rotation, the dispatch set to be executed is selected on a rotating basis between the available dispatch sets configured and enabled for the client, while a looping causes the repeat of dispatch rules within a set.

1. Log in to the SC ACD
   The easiest way is to type [yourcompanyname].singlecomm.com into a browser, then log in with your email address/password.

2. Expand the TAS module options by clicking on TAS in the left-hand navigation bar
   

   

3. Access your current TAS accounts by clicking Manage Existing Accounts
   
   
   

   

4. Select the account you would like to create the set for by clicking on the account name, then click on the Dispatching tab at the top
   
   
   

   

5. All of the Dispatch Rule Sets you have for the account will be displayed as tabs across the top
   

   

   The above example shows a client with 2 dispatch sets--Dispatch to Harry and Dispatch to Sam, with one being the selected set and therefore the only one currently in use.

6. Click to select the first rule set that you would like to include in the rotation, then select Yes to Include Set in Rotation
   
   
   

   

7. Click Save to apply the setting
   
   
   

   

8. Refresh your web browser to update the page. You should now see an Enable button in the Enable Rotation section, along with the dispatch rule set you just selected
   
   
   

   

9. You can now click Enable to enable Rotation, however there is currently only one set active, so let’s add another.

10. From the available dispatch sets, choose another by clicking it and then repeat steps #6-7 and refresh your web browser. Repeat again for any additional sets you wish to add.
    
    
    

    

    You can see that Rotations are enabled and that Dispatch to Sam and Dispatch to Harry are the rule sets in the rotation.
    This is also where you may come back to monitor how many times each set was used in rotation.

You now have rotating dispatch sets!
