As a time-saving measure, SC WorkFlow supports for the importing/exporting of Guided Interactions to different clusters. This allows for Guided Interactions to be copied and saved into different SC WorkFlow locations. Duplicating Guided Interactions for use within the same cluster can be achieved by cloning.
Log in to the SC Workflow platform and click Guided Interactions
Export a Guided Interaction
All existing Guided Interactions can be exported as .json (JavaScript Object Notation) files.
- Browse to the Guided Interaction that you would like to export
- Click the export button on the right
- The Guided Interaction will be downloaded locally to your PC, based on your save settings
- Guided Interaction Name.json
*The filename will be generated automatically based on the name of the Guided Interaction.
⚠️ Do not change the filename.
A change of filename while it is saved on your PC will not be reflected on the import. If you would like to amend the name of the Guided Interaction, this should be done after it is imported into SC WorkFlow.
- Guided Interaction Name.json
- The Guided Interaction will be downloaded locally to your PC, based on your save settings
Import a Guided Interaction
Guided Interactions (like above) that have been saved locally as .json files can be imported into any SC WorkFlow cluster that you have access to.
- On the Guided Interaction page, click Import Guided Interaction
- Browse your local drive for the saved .json file and click Open to start the import process
- Clicking on any file that does not have a .json extension will not be successful. There will be no error message displayed.
- Depending on the size of the Guided Interaction/file, it may be a few seconds before the "Loading" message appears.
- Once the Guided Interaction is loaded, it will open to the Documentation tab
- Any necessary changes to the Guided Interaction can be made from here
*Note that SC WorkFlow does not check for filename uniqueness here. If you are importing a Guided Interaction that has the same name as one that already exists on the cluster, the file will still upload, with (Copy) appended to its Name. To prevent confusion, a quick search of the existing Guided Interactions should be done before the import, and if it will be a duplicate, the name should be changed immediately after upload.
Clone a Guided Interaction
Guided Interactions can also be copied within the same cluster. Instead of exporting and re-importing, this can be done with the clone feature.
- Browse to the Guided Interaction that you would like to clone
- Click the Clone button on the right
- On the clone pop-up:
- New label: By default, a unique name will be generated. The new name will be the Guided Interaction name being cloned + (Copy). You can make changes to the new Guided Interaction's Name here before it is cloned.
- New description: [optional]
*Any existing description on the source file WILL NOT be copied over.
- Click Clone to copy the Guided Interaction
- Depending on the size of the file, it may be a few seconds before the "Loading" message appears.
- Once the Guided Interaction is loaded, it will open to the Documentation tab
- Any necessary changes to the Guided Interaction can be made from here.
- On the clone pop-up:
